Newton Law Group participates at the 3rd Forum of the One Belt One Road Academy in Hong Kong and Beijing

The Belt and Road (abbreviated B&R), One Belt, One Road (abbreviated OBOR) or the Belt and Road Initiative is a development strategy and framework, proposed by the Chinese President Xi Jinping that focuses on connectivity and cooperation among countries primarily between the People's Republic of China and the rest of B&R countries. With the official release by the Chinese State Council of the "Vision and Actions" of the OBOR in March 2015, this ambitious strategy has drawn tremendous attention from both within and outside China.

The OBOR initiative was echoed by the creation of the OBOR Academy which role is to promote the OBOR initiative and facilitate cross investment. The OBOR Forum included meetings with high officials at the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Congress, as well as many other departments.  Newton Law Group participated and talked in different panels in Hong Kong and Beijing.

It is worthy to note that the Hong Kong WTO Research Institute and the Law School of Zhejiang University jointly have requested Newton Law Group to participate in the composition of a multi-volume book on the laws of the OBOR countries. Newton Law Group will be as such representing the countries of Iraq and Saudi Arabia Note that the OBOR book will first be published in English and then translated into Chinese for publication.
